Montreal, Canada continues to set the standard as one of the hubs of indie rock music, and electro/synth trio We Are Wolves are a perfect example of why. After releasing Non-Stop Je Te Plie en Deux in 2005 and Total Magique in ’07, We are Wolves are ready to drop their third LP titled Invisible Violence, hitting shelves Feb 2, 2010 on Dare to Care records.
Synth, bass, and drums are king when it comes to We Are Wolves’ sound, forming a creative hybrid of punk and electronic music. Instead of repelling each other, the two genres come together in a creative and fun way that seems to continue on the new record. Known for their involvement in the ultra-hipster Montreal art scene, I predict Invisible Violence might be the record that brings some adventurous new ears across the aisle to discover what We Are Wolves are all about.
