There’s something bizarre about the way an actors work can come out after they are dead. In the case of Heath Ledger there’s “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus”, set to release later this year, along with…a new Modest Mouse video?
Well, sort of. Ledger worked with production company The Masses to direct an animated video for “King Rat”, the standout track off their recent EP release “No One’s First and You’re Next”. Apparently Ledger wanted to focus the video on the illegal whaling practices taking place off US shores, and in turn what we’ve got here is a big, singing, cigar smoking whale harpooning a bunch of humans. Proceeds from iTunes video purchases during the first month goes to the Sea Shepherd Conservation society, so you could buy it for a good cause… or feel guilty as you watch it below, like me.
